Words out Loud Spoken Word Series

Omowale Jesse Alexander is a performance poet, Afrofuturist, micro-publisher, electrical engineer, and finalist in the 1000 Paterson Literary Review's Allen Ginsberg Poetry contest. He has been featured at the Davies Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church's annual poetry service, Knitting Factory, Groove Drops, and the Sumei Multidisciplinary Center, and his work has appeared in Obsidian III: Literature in the African Diaspora, Sojourners Magazine, The Drumming Between Us: Black Love & Erotic Poetry, and Drumvoices Revue: A Confluence of Literary, Cultural & Vision Arts. A 17 year veteran of Bell Labs, Jesse hold a Master of Engineering degree in electrical engineering from Howard University.

Andrew (Stilly) Stilborn is an Iffley based Yorkshire (UK) poet and illustrator, who would like to think of himself as the bastard child of Edward Gorey and Marriott Edgar, who was adopted by Rod Serling and Stanley Holloway.  He finds Zoom a massive relief from having to carry a screen and projector around to local poetry groups. When not working on his allotment he draws, writes and performs his poems but never in that order.

The evening also includes an open mic and literary trivia quiz.
