Plein Air is not just for painters at Riverworks!

Calling one and all who would like to head out to a location in the Agricultural Reserve with a Riverworks guide to observe the natural world and respond with your medium of choice. Musicians, Writers, Dancers, Painters and more... join us and be inspired by what you see, enjoy quiet company and explore our beautiful surroundings through art.

Hosted by a Riverworks guide the last Wednesday of every month. Locations may include Alden Farms, C&O, Local Farms, Sugarloaf and Seneca Schoolhouse. Locations will be announced by the guide as we get closer to the date of excursion. In case of inclement weather, we will cancel - you will be refunded or have the option of rolling your fees over to Made-in-Studio or another Nature Observation Session.

Materials List: Students will provide their own materials, bring what you enjoy working with. Bring a travel watercolor set, sketching pens and pencils, and favorite watercolor or mixed media journal. Camera or smartphone camera. Please take note of the weather and dress so you are comfortable.
