Among the ways you can learn about the fascinating history of jazz music is to trace family histories. The music was passed along to family members – uncles and cousins, and aunties, too.  And among neighborhood pals who took up instruments.  It was deeply ingrained in the NOLA culture as both  pastime and vocation.  Filling us in on this rich history for April’s Potomac River Jazz Club’s Free ZOOM educational adventure will be Mark Braud. Mark is a noted New Orleans  “culture bearer”, a working musician who’s played with everybody who’s anybody and led the Preservation Hall jazz band for eight years.

Join us – tune in – via ZOOM on April 18th from 8 to 9:30pm EASTERN time.
