The Lunar New Year or Tết as it is called in Vietnamese is an event celebrated by many Asian countries. In Viet Nam it is the biggest holiday of the year, marked by large family feasts, vibrant decor, colorful ao dai (traditional VN dress), sweets, games, and community togetherness.
Tết is a time to be together and be hopeful for the future. It is a time to celebrate all that came before and all that we have to look forward to over the coming year.
As we approach the Year of the Cat (yes, in Vietnamese culture it’s year of the cat and not rabbit—that’s something to google if you’re curious), we want to bring you a little taste of the celebration we grew up with for a delicious start to a new year.
