Join the City Nature Challenge

Have you heard of the City Nature Challenge? For one weekend each year, cities around the world compete to have the most participants find the most wild plants and animals. Observations are logged in the iNaturalist app, and contribute to important environmental research. Anyone can participate and YOU can become a citizen scientist!

Join us for this informational meeting when we'll provide tips for participating in the Challenge, happening April 26 to 29. We'll also train you to use the free iNaturalist app, a handy tool that helps you identify what you find in nature. Scout leaders, homeschool parents, and teachers welcome! Master Naturalists earn Advanced Training hours.

Registration required. Prepare to go for a short walk so we can practice using the app in the field. Please download the app on your smart device, and set up your free account on iNaturalist, before the training. We'll have tea and snacks!

Monday, April 8 to 7:30pm
