CatVideoFest

CatVideoFest, a collection of the best cat videos on the internet, is back in the Washington, D.C. area. This time it will be outside on a summer evening as part of Silver Screens on Sonny’s Green, AFI Silver’s free outdoor screening series. Bethesda-based Alley Cat Allies, the global engine of change for cats, has hosted screenings of CatVideoFest for four years now, but this is the first time the film has been celebrated with an outdoor festival.

Each year, CatVideoFest edits the best cat videos of the year into a single film that entertains audiences across the country. This is its sixth visit to the Washington, D.C., area, and will be an encore appearance of the 2017 film, which played to packed houses at AFI Silver last November and April.

Attendees can sit on the grass, or bring a blanket or low-rise chair. Snacks from Stella's Popkern will be available for purchase.

In addition to the film, Humane Rescue Alliance will be on site with their mobile adoption van from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Adopters can take home adopted cats that night.

Friday, August 10 at 8:00pm to 9:30pm
