Intersection of Carroll Avenue and Ethan Allen Avenue

On Tuesday July 4th, join Takoma Park for one of the community's oldest and most beloved traditions: Takoma Park's 134th Annual 4th of July Day Parade. The parade includes a mix of musical groups, community organizations, elected officials, advocacy, and other community projects -- capturing all the energy, diversity, uniqueness, and extraordinary eclectic passions of the Takoma Park community. This year's parade will be led by Grand Marshal Congressman Jamie Raskin, who was selected to represent the theme, Celebrating Democracy in Takoma Park.

Parade Route (note route change in bold):
The parade begins at 10:00 am at the intersection of Ethan Allen and Carroll Aves. It moves down Carroll Ave through downtown Takoma Park, turns right at Willow Ave, left at Tulip Ave, and right at Maple Ave. It then continues down Maple Ave until Ritchie Ave. Parade-goers will find space to watch the parade all along the route. Food vendors are set up in the final 3 blocks of the parade route along Maple Ave, in addition to local restaurants along the parade route. The parade ends by 12:00 noon.

Evening Street Party
The celebration continues with an evening Street Party on Maple Ave near the Takoma Park Community Center (7500 Maple Ave) from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Visitors will enjoy food trucks, a beer and wine garden, activities for the kids and music from a great lineup of bands: Takoma Park Community Band with patriotic classics (6:00 pm), jazz and go-go fusion band The JoGo Project (7:00 pm), and a reggae Beatles tribute band, Yellow Dubmarine (8:00 pm).
Presented by the Takoma Park Independence Day Committee.
